At the age of 17, I became an advocate on both a local and provincial level for children and youth in and from the foster care system, and the LGTBQ+ community. I became a public speaker and used the voice and courage I was born with, to make a small piece of this world better for future youth who are marginalized, isolated and often abandoned. After years of this work, I chose to take a step away from my advocacy and public speaking, in hopes to discover my identity beyond these roles.
I am a writer, traveller and a hiker who enjoys pushing my physical limits. I am often eager to break away from the noise of society, put on a backpack and fly (or drive!) away to a new place. I have promised myself that I would never go to the same place twice – there are too many beautiful places in the world to see, and not enough time to see them all.
My writing is inspired by my emotions, reflections and personal experiences. I hope to one day write a novel.
